I think this is awesome! As you probably remember I’ve never had a weight issue, being born with skinny genes, but eating healthfully is a different subject! I am excited to see that others will be joining you in the quest for health through eating well!

Hi Linda!

This is the diet I had mentioned to you before. This is a diet protocol that is designed for gut healing, which is the culprit in most disease conditions of the body, particularly in auto-immune disease. It is about recreating a proper balance of gut flora in the digestive tract, and most of us are not walking around with a proper balance. Of course, there will be weight loss in the beginning of this diet, but including plenty of healthy (and gut-healing) fats will help to keep the weight loss down for those who do not need to lose. I could stand to lose about 10-15 lbs. while my husband does not need to lose any -- we'll be watchful of that!

I look forward to the improved health that we both will realize as we move through this diet protocol. I know that many of my clients will also be able to benefit from a diet protocol such as this one and plan to be a support for those who need it. I'll post updates, so check back here often!

Blessings,
Beth

Hello John Paul,

It is a gut-healing diet which does require cleansing in the way of detox and die-off of the bad bacteria as it is replaced with the good bacteria (as we add probiotic foods to our diet). The difficult part is the very limited types of foods allowed in the diet starting in Stage 1 of the Introduction. As we progress through to each of the six stages, we'll be gradually adding in more foods, as our body tolerates. It is possible that we'll end up moving through the stages at our own separate pace as our bodies do differ. I'm looking forward to starting and will be happy to post updates!

Blessings,
Beth

Kind of like cleansing, huh? I've tried that before and it wasn't easy. I haven't heard anything about GAPS yet but it sounds like a challenge.

You have about a week from now till it starts, I'm sure you and your husband are ready for it. Good luck to you both! Let us know how it goes.
